WIDK - iDunnoRadio
“Your Low-Grade, Unpaid, Risqué Pit-Stain of a Monday Morning Radio Show”
Elevator Pitch:
iDunnoRadio is one of those instances where the parody is better than the original. Explicit but never ‘over the line’, hysterically funny, self-aware, inclusive, and produced like a real FM morning show. (Fake) commercials and all.
What is this?!
WIDK - iDunnoRadio is an improvised comedy fiction podcast that publishes every Monday at 5am EST.
It is hosted by four personalities: Fishstick, Lulu, The Brofessor, and Mulch.
The podcast is not kid-friendly, but its explicit content never ‘crosses the line’ and overall promotes a wholesome atmosphere.
It is ostensibly a comedy talk show, fully produced and presented in the style of an FM “Morning Zoo”, replete with wild, fake commercials, public service announcements, and radio voice-over introductions.
It also features elements of audio-drama, as there is a running plot and fiction following the storied lives and adventures of the four hosts.
The Season 1 finale and Season 2 premiere (Episodes 52 and 53, respectively) both heavily feature sound design and narrative.
Each episode is composed of four segments:
Fishstick’s Top Pick Topics, in which the hosts debate “would-you-rather” style questions sent in by listeners.
The Brofessor’s Life De-Stresser, where listeners’ voicemails seeking various forms of advice are answered.
Lulu’s Viewer Reviews (biweekly), in which Lulu takes listener-submitted items or concepts and provides an “in-depth” “review” of them.
Lulu’s Koo-Koo Guru Hullabaloo (biweekly), where Lulu invents a wild (typically holistic or alternative) practice and forces the group to participate in it.
Mulch’s News Garden, which is a classic radio segment about weird and wild news stories.
Each segment is preceded by a fake commercial, and once per episode there is a promotion for another podcast that we love.
Why is this show important?
iDunnoradio strives to create content that is both wholesome and inclusive, while still being wild, explicit, and hilarious. While many shows exist on ‘shock humor’ and crudeness, the WIDK crew has a strong commitment to making great comedy without punching down or beating on old, harmful tropes.
WIDK and its members place a high value on being LGBTQIA+ friendly, inclusive of diversity in all forms, and having kind intentions behind even the most vulgar of jokes.
“You can be funny and kind or funny and cruel. The second one is easier, but the first one is worth it.”

Do they do events?
In October 2019 iDunnoRadio was invited to perform live at Curlies Comedy Club in Rochester NH as part of “PodTober”, a month featuring a different live podcast every Tuesday night.
They performed to a nearly-packed house and raucous laughter. The crew was invited back anytime by the club’s owner. The show was streamed live on Facebook, and that video quickly drew nearly 800 views during its initial broadcast.
WIDK has planned to perform live several more times in 2020 at various venues around New Hampshire and Vermont, and is always open for booking!
Who is behind this?!
WIDK - iDunnoRadio is created by a group of four long-time friends from New Hampshire and Vermont. The show began as a “just for fun” project, and snowballed into something they are all incredibly passionate and excited about. It is produced and recorded by Mason, who is the engineer for the Scavengers Network. The hosts prefer to remain quasi-anonymous online, going only by their ‘show-names’ in connection with the podcast. They all work full-time “normal jobs” in addition to this podcast.
Funding
iDunnoradio is largely self-funded, however they have worked with some advertisers previously for limited-run campaigns.
Their goal in terms of funding is to be supported by Patreon donations and by opening up ad space to smaller online businesses and/or brands that resonate with the creators’ goals and beliefs.
However this podcast is a passion project, and funding is not an immediate goal or concern.
This is a copyright-free stock photo of money.
Accessibility note:
We provide timestamps in our show notes, so that listeners can easier avoid content that may be personally triggering or challenging. We also, when appropriate, provide audible and written content warnings if a segment contains material we believe may be difficult for some listeners.
With the growth of our show, we have realized the importance of having accessible transcripts for the hearing-impaired. A primary goal for us now is to make transcripts available here on our website. We are currently exploring options for this, but if you happen to be reading this and have a good resource, please let us know!
The plan is to have transcripts available by mid 2020 at the latest.
